CB Engine Review

An Honest In-Depth Review Site

A Couple of Cool Tools For Clickbank Affiliates

Hey, Papa Jim here…

Just wanted to just give you a quick update on some of the features I’ve discovered about CB Engine.

Now please understand: this is NOT my final review of the product.  I’m still in the process of evaluating it.

But I have discovered that it has some cool features that I’m kind of excited about.  So I thought I’d knock out a quick post that gives you a quick overview of them, okay?

CB Insider

While the ClickBank Marketplace only shows a product’s current ranking, CBengine collects and displays the ranking history for each product over time. The CB Insider option uses these reports to track and pinpoint opportunities that have high potential.  You get 3 categories of output:

* New Killer Products
* Underexposed & Climbing
* Underexposed & Gaining

Here’s a sample output page from CB Insider…

Bookmark Folders

Another cool feature CB Engine has is a bookmark system for storing the affiliate marketplace products you look up.  It’s built right into the search results page.  This allows you to quickly “save” products that interest you to one or more folders that you create.  So that instead of having to look them up every time you go to the Marketplace, you just go your Inbox folder and they’re right there. Bookmarks can be added, deleted, moved, or grouped into different folders.  Here’s a screenshot of a bookmarks page:

Once they’re in a folder, you just click on them to go back to the full affiliate marketplace product listing.  If you’re going through a lot of products, this is a great tool for keeping track of the ones that interest you.

Woops…running out of time.

To tell you the truth, I can see this review process is going to take longer than I expected.  CB Engine has got a LOT of features.  So what I’m thinking is that I’ll put together a video for my next post so that you can see it in action.  I might even do a couple of them.

I’m definitely liking what I’m discovering about CB Engine.   But I’m still not ready to give you a full review.  That’ll be in an upcoming post.  So check back when you get a chance.

See ya!

The Story Behind My CB Engine Review Site

Hey – thanks for stopping by.

A while back I was going back through a section of George Brown’s Google Sniper course when he mentioned something called CB Engine.  (By the way, you probably already know all about Googlesniper, but in case not, you can click here to check it out.)

Anyways, I took a quick hop over to the CB Engine site and checked it out.  I immediately liked what I saw – a very nice graphical interface to the Clickbank Marketplace.

Although I love Clickbank, I’ve never been too crazy about the way the Marketplace page displays product searches.  The output have always seemed kind of “clunky” to me.  (Sort of like something you’d see on an old MS DOS machine, if you’re old enough to remember those!).

Anyways, that first time I just took a quick look.  I checked the price: 40 bucks for a year’s subscription.  Hmm – was a nicer interface to the Marketplace worth $40?  Probably not.  But then I saw that it seemed to offer a lot of other features as well.  So I said to myself, “Okay, I’ll come back later and check it out more closely.”

The next day I went back.  That’s when I noticed that CB Engine offers a free trial that gives you full membership access for 15 days.  (Anyone can use the basic search tools for free, but you only get partial access to the site’s tools.)

That’s when it occurred to me to set up this review site.  “Here’s what I’ll do,” I thought:

  • Sign up for the free 15-day trial.
  • Explore all the features it offers over the next few days.
  • Set up this blog site and post entries on what I was finding out about it.
  • See if it would actually help me make more affiliate marketing money.
  • Write a no-holds barred review on whether I liked it or thought it was junk.

So that’s the story behind the site.  I’ve signed up for the 15-day trial.  Check back in couple of days and I’ll give you an update on what I’ve found out about CBEngine.com.

Then, when I post my final review, I’ll let you know whether I think CB Engine sucks – or if it can actually help you and me make some affiliate bucks.

Meantime, if you want to check out CB Engine for yourself, click here.

See ya!
